Fatal Vehicle Accident in Harrington

On Friday October 31, 2025 at 21:15 hrs. the Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment and ejection at the intersection of South DuPont Hwy. and Tower Hill Rd.  Units arrived on scene to find a two vehicle accident with one subject ejected and no entrapment and confirmed two subjects were injured.  One subject sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where the subject was later pronounced deceased.  The other injured subject was transported by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.  Units checked the vehicles for any hazards.  The scene was then placed under control and units remained on scene assisting police units.  The roadway was shut down for several hours while the Delaware State Police was investigating.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Engines 50-1, 50-5, 50-4, Rescue 50, Brush 50, Rescue 47, Ambulances B-50, C-50, B-52 and B-78, KM-8, KM-10, KM-5, Harrington PD, DSP, Del-Dot and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Captain Reid Wilson.  Due to the nature of incident and out of respect for all parties involved no photos of incident will be released by the Harrington Fire Company.
