Shed Fire

On Saturday January 5, 2019 at 2:37 am the Harrington Fire Co. was dispatched to a report of a shed on fire in the 2300 Block of Gun and Rod Club Rd.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a 25 x 25 shed fulling involved.  Crews placed one hose line in service and brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes.  Crews remained on scene performing overhaul and assisting the Fire Marshal.  No injuries were reported but 8 dogs died in the fire.  The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Command 50, 50-4, 50-2, 50-5, A-50, FM-13 and Harrington PD.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Deputy Chief Earl K.
