On Wednesday February 5, 2020 at 4:09 am the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched to a vehicle accident in the 8500 Block of Vernon Rd. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a passenger car had struck a residence causing minor damage to the residence. Firefighters checked the residence and vehicle and confirmed there were no hazards. The driver of the vehicle left the vehicle on scene and fled the scene. The scene was placed under control and all units returned. Scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: B-50, R-50, 50-1, DSP and Harrington PD. OFFICER IN CHARGE: Deputy Chief Kenny Brode.
