Thursday (12/23/2021), at approximately 0806hrs., the station, along with Sta. 52 (Houston) for the rescue and ambulance assist, Kent County Paramedics and Delaware State Police-Aviation (Trooper 2) were alerted for the MVC with entrapment at S. DuPont Hwy. and Shaw Ave. Units responded and arrived on scene to find a vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a parked vehicle in the parking lot of a business, with negative entrapment. One subject was evaluated on scene before being transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. After all hazards were remedied and the vehicles were secured, command placed the incident under control and units cleared the scene. Officer In Charge: Fire Chief Robbie Brode.
