On Thursday May 4, 2023 at 10:04 am the Harrington and Houston Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident involving a Bus/Passenger Van at the intersection of South Dupont Hwy. and Milford-Harrington Hwy. Units arrived on scene to find a dump truck had collided with a large passenger van. Units determined there were 9 subjects who were suffering from minor injuries. Several ambulances were then dispatched to assist. Aviation unit was and Paradmedics were cancelled prior to their arrival. All injured subjects were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Crews then checked the vehicles for any hazards. The scene was placed under control and was turned over to the Harrington Police Department for further investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: 50 Command, Engine 50-1, Rescue 50, Rescue 52, Ambulances B-50, C-50, A-52, B-52, B-48, A-78, KM-8, DSP Trooper 2, Harrington PD and Fire Police. OFFICER IN CHARGE: Asst.
