On Saturday October 21, 2023 at approximatly 4:07 am the Harrington Fire Co. was alerted for a vehicle accident in the 8000 Block of Vernon Rd. Harrington Fire Co. units were just clearing from a previous accident scene where they were assisting the Houston Fire Co. with and accident with entrapment. Harrington and Houston Fire Companies units cleared the first accident and responded to the Vernon Rd. accident. Upon arrival units found a single vehicle had ran off the road and struck a propane tank and a house. Crews arrived on scene and secured the propane tank and checked the residence for any hazards. One subject in the vehicle was transported with minor injuries and the other occupant was not injured. The scene was placed under control and all units cleared the scene. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: Rescue 50, Tanker 50, Engine 50-4, Rescue 52, Ambulance C-50, DSP, Harrington PD and Fire Police.
