On Wednesday May 22, 2024 at approximately 1833 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company, Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at the Intersection of Dixon St. and Shaw Ave. Units arrived on scene and found a subject on a motorized skateboard collided with a vehicle. The injured subject on the skateboard was Priority 1 and Trooper 2 was requested to land at Station 50 which was only a few blocks away from the accident scene. The patient was packaged on scene and transported by Ambulance to the landing zone. The patient was then placed in DSP Trooper 2 and airlifted to a local trauma center. The scene was then placed under control and the accident in being investigated by the Harrington Police Department. UNITS ON SCENE: Chief Car, Ambulance A-50, Engine 50-5, Rescue 50, Brush 50, KM-8, DSP Trooper 2, Harrington PD and Fire Police. OFFICER IN CHARGE: Fire Chief Kenny Brode.
