On Thursday December 12, 2024 at 10:54 hrs. the Harrington, Farmington, Felton, Frederica and Houston Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS were dispatched for a working building fire in 3400 Block of Hopkins Cemetery Rd. Units arrived on scene to find a small fire in the wall of a pole building near a wood stove. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, checked for extension and performed overhaul. The scene was then placed under control and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal Office for investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: Engine 50-4, Tower 50, Ambulance A-50, Squad 48, Tanker 48-5, Engine 52-5, KM-8, FM-28 and Fire Police. All other responding units were cancelled prior to arrival.
