On Tuesday May 6, 2025 at 0545 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company was alerted for a shed on fire in the 400 Block of Rachel Dr. off of Jackson Ditch Rd. Units arrived on scene to find a medium sized shed fully involved with exposure to a smaller shed, pole building and camper. Crews placed two hand lines in service and quickly brought the fire under control. Units then remained on scene for overhaul. All the exposures sustained damage. All units then cleared the scene and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal Office for further investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: Chief Vehicle, Engines 50-4 and 50-1, Tower 50, Tanker 50, Ambulance C-50, Harrington PD, Fire Police and DSFM FM-15. OFFICER IN CHARGE: Fire Chief Kenny Brode.
