On Wednesday August 19, 2026 at 0618 hours the Harrington, Felton and Houston Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of South Dupont Hwy. and Winkler Rd. Units arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle accident with three subjects suffering from minor injuries. Kent County EMS and DSP Aviation was cancelled prior to arrival. One subject was still in the vehicle and was unable to get out but was not trapped. Crews removed the drivers side door and the patient was removed from the vehicle. Two patients were transported by ambulance with minor injuries. One patient refused treatment. Crews secured the vehicles for any hazards and the scene was placed under control. All units cleared the scene and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: Chief Vehicle, Engines 50-1, 50-5, 48-4, Rescue 52, Command 52, Ambulances C-50 and D-50, Traffic Control 48, DSP Patrol, Harrington PD and Fire Police.
