On Wednesday August 25, 2021 at approximately 1800 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company was alerted for a commercial vehicle fire on South Dupont Hwy. in the area of Winkler Rd. Captain Kevin Galyean was in the area and arrived on scene and confirmed a fertilizer truck with fire showing and assumed command. Units arrived on scene and placed one hand line in service and quickly extinguished the fire. The scene was then placed under control and all units cleared the scene. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: Officer 50-21, Engine 50-1, Ambulance A-50, DSP, Harrington PD, Del-Dot and Fire Police.
