On Friday May 19, 2023 the Harrington Fire Company held a housing/dedication for our 2023 Pierce Engine/Tanker that was placed in service May 1, 2023. This new unit replaces a 1987 Pierce Engine/Tanker that has served our community for over 35 years. The new Engine/Tanker was dedicated to the Honor and Memory of Past Chief Joe Green (1976-1981) and Past Chief Robert Taylor (1983-1984). Both of these Chiefs were Pioneers and Leaders of the Harrington Fire Co. and served as Mentor's to many of our members. These two men are one of the reasons the Harrington Fire Co.is what it is today. The familes of Chief Green and Chief Taylor were each presented a plaque from the Harrington Fire Co. A plaqe will also be placed on Tanker 50 honoring these two Cheifs. A blessing of the new Tanker 50 was given by Chaplain Rich Walton and the members offically backed it into the station. The old 50-2 was placed out of service for the final time.
