On Monday August 28, 2023 at 0847 hrs. the Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment on Vernon Rd. in the area of Hemping Rd. Units arrived on scene to find a single vehicle that had rolled over in a corn field. The driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle was trapped and was later extricated in approximatly 10 minutes. The injured subject was transported to a local hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. DSP Aviation was cancelled prior to arrival. The scene was then placed under control and all units cleared the scene. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.
