On Wednesday October 2, 2024 at 1343 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company along with Kent County EMS (KM-8) and DSP Aviation Trooper 2 were alerted for a vehicle accident on Vernon Rd. in the area Knife Box Rd. Units arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle accident and one subject with non-life-threatening injuries. Another subject was evaluated on scene but refused transport. The injured subject was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Crews then checked the vehicles for any hazards and the scene was placed under control. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation. DSP Trooper 2 was cancelled prior to arrival. UNITS ON SCENE: Rescue 50, Engine 50-5, Ambulances A-50 and C-50, KM-8, Harrington PD, DSP and Fire Police. OFFICER IN CHARGE: Sergeant Justin Madden.
