On Saturday February 22, 2025 the Kent County Volunteer Firefighters Assosciaton hosted its annual Ladies Night at the Felton Community Fire Comapny. During the awards portion of the evening Harrington Fire Company, Inc. Honorary Life Member and Past President James M. "Jimmy" Callaway was awarded the Kent County Volunteer Firefighters Association 2024 Fireman of the Year. Jimmy is a 55 year member of our company and served as President in 1998 and 1999. Jimmy activly serves a Firefighter and Apparatus Driver. Jimmy has also served on the Board of Directors, as an NREMTB and on numerous committees. Jimmy was also instrumental on the committee for building and designing our new fire station that the company moved into in July 2000. Jimmy is also active in the community and his Church and serves as a mentor to many of our younger members. We congratulate Past President Callaway on this well deserved honor.
