On Wednesday July 23, 2025 at 12:28 am the Harrington Fire Company along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle into a structure on Corn Crib Rd. in the area of Cozy Woods Cr. Units arrived on scene to find a SUV had left the roadway and struck a single wide trailer. The occupant of the vehicle self-extricated prior to the arrival of units. Once on scene crews secured the utilities and checked the residence for any hazards. The occupant of the vehicle was evaluated on scene but refused treatment. DSP Trooper 2 was cancelled prior to arrival. The scene was then placed under control and all units cleared the scene. The scene was turned over to the Harrington Police Department for further investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: Chief Vehicle, Engine 50-5, Rescue 50, Ambulances B-50 and C-50, KM-8, Fire Police, Harrington PD and City of Harrington Public Works. OFFICER IN CHARGE: Fire Chief Kenny Brode.
