On January 5, 2026 the Harrington Fire Company, Inc. recognized several members during their regular company meeting. Captain Reid Wilson and Asst. Chief Mark Scribner Jr. were recognized for completing the Fire Officer 2 Class. Firefighters Chrissy Brode and Ricky Hamilton were recognized for Completing the Accelerated Firefighter 1 and 2 Academy. Firefighter Cooper Liu was also recognized for completing his Vehicle Rescue Class. These certificates were presented by Fire Chief Kenny Brode. Fire Chief Kenny Brode and President Robbie Brode also presented Past Asst. Chief Danny McLaughlin with his Fire Helmet. Asst. Chief McLaughlin has served as a Fire Captain or Asst. Chief since 2000 and will be stepping down from his Asst. Chief Position in 2026. Past Asst. Chief McLaughlin also has served as President, Vice President, Fire Recorder and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors.
