On Thursday August 13, 2026 at 0127 hours the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched for an unknown mvc on Little Mastens Corner Rd. in the Paradise Alley Rd. While responding, units were advised that Kent Center was taking additional calls reporting a vehicle into the woods. 50 Command arrived on scene and confirmed a passenger car ran off the roadway and struck a tree and confirmed one subject trapped. Felton Fire Company (Rescue Company), Kent County EMS and DSP Aviation were added to the call. Units arrived on scene and began extricating the injured subject. A landing zone was established near the scene on Hills Market Rd. After being extricated, the injured subject was packaged and transported to the landing zone. DSP Trooper 2 then transported the patient to a local trauma center for treatment. The scene was then placed under control and all units cleared the scene. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.
