On Thursday August 27, 2026 at 22:03 hours the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Farmington Fire Company with a working barn fire in the 700 Block of Flatiron Rd. Units arrived on scene to find a large barn fully involved and reported the barn was storing several bales of hay and farm equipment. Units operated on scene for approximately four hours before clearing the scene. The Harrington Fire Company responded with Command 50, Tower 50, Tanker 50, Engine 50-1, Utility 50-8, Ambulances A-50 and C-50 and Rehab 50. The Greenwood, Houston, Bridgeville and Frederica Fire Companies also assisted. Asst. Chief TJ Greenle was Incident Commander. Felton Fire Company provided an Engine Stand-by at the Harrington Fire Company during the incident.
