On Monday September 21, 2026 at 0944 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company assisted the Felton Fire Company with a working house fire on Nile St. in Felton. Units arrived on scene to find fire showing from a single story residence. Crews extinguished the fire then performed overhaul. Primary and secondary searches proved negative. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshal Office. Harrington Fire Company responded with Engine 50-5, Tower 50, Ambulance A-50 and Utilities 50-8 and 50-9. The Frederica, Camden-Wyoming and Magnolia Fire Companies also assisted along with Kent County EMS. Incident Commander was Felton Fire Company Asst. Chief Tyler Sipple.
