5K Color Run & Heritage Day Events
Saturday, August 25, 2018
Today was a busy day for our members, as well as ladies auxiliary members. This morning, members staffed our second annual 5k color run event. Following the event, members and families participated in the annual Harrington Heritage Day parade and open house events. Following the parade, the station was opened up to the public to view our equipment and facilities. Finishing out the night, fire company and ladies auxiliary members hosted our first snow crab leg and clam strip feast. Members and ladies auxiliary members dedicated many hours over the last several days to prepare for all the tasks needed to be done, as well as hosting a dinner at the station Friday evening to kick off the Saturday celebration. We would like to thank all members and auxiliary members, families and friends for your help and support. We would like to also thank the Delaware State Police, Delaware State Fire School, Delaware State Fire Marshals Office, Kent County Department of Public Safety and LifeNet for their time and displays to help with the event. We would like to especially thank the Clayton Fire Co. for their crew and apparatus who staffed the station while members hosted the snow crab leg/clam strip dinner.
