Serious MVC - Whitelysburg Rd @ Ingram Branch Rd

On Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 0801 hrs. the Harrington Fire Co., Felton Fire Co. EMS (A-48) Kent County EMS (KM-8, KM-10 and KM-11) along with Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Whitelysburg Rd. and Ingram Branch Rd. near the Delaware/Maryland Line.  While responding units were advised that there was a report of multiple subjects trapped and a vehicle was reported to be on fire.  Deputy Chief Kenny Brode was first unit to arrive and reported that one subject was removed from a vehicle by DSP and DSP Units were performing CPR.  The second subject was pulled from the other vehicle that was on fire by Past Engineer Barney Stubbs (Harrington Fire Co.), who was in the area, and three other by-standers. Past Engineer Stubbs also used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire.   One of the subjects was pronounced DOA on scene and the second subject was a Priority 1 and was transported by A-48 to Kent General Hospital.  All aviation units were down due to inclement weather.  The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for investigation.  Del-Dot and Harrington Police Department also assisted.
