MVC Farmington Rd

On Sunday August 3, 2019 at 1:16 am the Harrington Fire Co., Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were alerted for a vehicle accident on Farmington Rd. in the area of Tower Hill Rd. While responding units were advised that Harrington PD was on scene and reporting a subject possibly trapped. 50 Command then requested Farmington Fire Co. be alerted for a Rescue Assist. Firefighters arrived on scene and found a single vehicle that had rolled over multiple times with the passenger of the vehicle suffering from serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries. As units arrived on scene they began assisting EMS and securing the vehicle. Crews also set up a landing zone for Trooper 2. The passenger was transported to Trooper 2 and flown to Christiana Hospital. The driver of the vehicle refused treatment and was turned over to the Delaware State Police. The scene was placed under control and units remained on scene assisting with traffic control and lighting up the scene to assist DSP. All units were back in quarters by 3:00 am.
