Fuel Spill - Commerce Street

On Saturday 08-15-2020 at 4:47 pm the Harrington Fire Company was alerted for a report of a fuel spill on Commerce St. in the area of Clark St.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find oil in the roadway that appeared to have leaked from a vehicle traveling on Commerce and Clark Streets.  Firefighters applied several bags of Stay-Dry Absorbent to soak up the oil.  The scene was then placed under control and all units cleared the scene.  The City of Harrington Public Works also responded and assisted with cleaning up the Stay-Dry.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Chief Vehicle, Engine 50-4, Rescue 50, Ambulance A-50, Harrington PD, Harrington Public Works and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Deputy Chief Kenny Brode.
