Pedestrian Accident Mechanic St. 09/14/2020

 

On Monday 09-14-2020 at 22:20 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company, Kent County EMS (KM-8) and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the 100 Block of Mechanic St.  Firefighters arrived on scene and determined that the accident was a result of a domestic dispute and one subject was run over by a car.  The injured subject was placed into an ambulance and transported to the Harrington Fire Company to the landing zone.  Rescue 50, Engine 50-1 and Brush 50 all remained at the station and assisted with setting up the landing zone in the parking lot of the firehouse.  Trooper 2 landed and the patient was turned over to Trooper 2 and was flown to Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The scene was then placed under control and all units were in quarters.  The Harrington Police Department is continuing its investigation.   UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, Ambulance B-50, Rescue 50, Brush 50, Engine 50-1, KM-8, DSP Trooper 2, Fire Police and Harrington PD.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Robbie Brode.
