Vehicle Fire - Simpson St.

On Thursday October 22, 2020 at 12:38 am the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Simpson St. in the area of Peck Ave.   Harrington Police Department was patrolling the area and found the vehicle on fire and requested the fire company to respond.   Firefighters arrived on scene and found a pickup truck fully involved several hundred feet of the roadway.  Firefighters placed one hand line in service and quickly extinguished the fire.  The scene was placed under control and the scene was turned over to the Harrington Police Department for investigation.  The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries but refused transport.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Engine 50-1, Ambulance A-50 and Harrington PD.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Robbie Brode.
