Structure Fire - Fernwood Dr.

On Sunday 01-31-2021 at 1554 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched to a structure fire on Fernwood Dr. in the Fernwood Development. 50 Command arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from a police building and requested the alarm be upgraded to a working alarm adding Carlisle (Milford), Houston and Felton Fire Companies and Kent County EMS. Crews deployed several hose lines and the fire was brought under control in approximately 1 hour. Crews then remained on scene for extensive overhaul. All units then cleared the scene and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office for further investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: 50 Command, Engine 50-4, Engine 50-5, Engine/Tanker 50-2, Tower 50, Ambulance A-50 and B-50, Utility 50-8, Tanker 52, Engine 52-5, Engine/Tanker 48-5, Engine 48-1, Ladder 42, Engine/Tanker 42-5, KM-8, Fire Police and FM-13.
