Chimney Fire - Dixon Street

On Tuesday April 14, 2021 at 2348 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched for a Chimney Fire at a residence in the first block of Dixon St.  Units arrived on scene to find fire coming out the top of the chimney and an active fire in the chimney.  Units also found smoke in the residence.   Tower 50 arrived and placed its ladder in service and crews began to clean out the chimney.   Crews were able to contain the fire the chimney.  The scene was then placed under control.  Units then cleared the scene and returned to quarters.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Command 50, Engine 50-4, Engine 50-5, Tower 50, Ambulance A-50, Fire Police and Harrington PD.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Robbie Brode.
