MVC - Carpenter Bridge Rd

On Monday May 3, 2021 at 1557 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company and Kent County EMS were alerted for a vehicle accident on Carpenter Bridge Rd. in the area of Jenny Lane. While units were responding Kent-Center advised they were taking additional calls reporting entrapment. Felton Fire Co. (Sta. 48) was alerted for the Rescue assist and Houston Fire Co. (Sta. 50) was alerted for an ambulance. Units arrived on scene and found a two vehicle head on collision with two subjects suffering from serious injuries and one subject trapped. Firefighters were able to free the trapped driver within 5 minutes. Due to inclement weather all Aviation units were grounded. Both injured subjects were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The scene was placed under control and all units then cleared the scene. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.
