House Fire - Ingram Branch Rd

On Saturday July 17, 2021 at 2127 hrs., as members were just finish up the benefit for Past Chief Jimmy Green the station along with the Greensboro, Farmington and Greenwood Fire Companies were alerted for a house fire in the 1200 Block of Ingram Branch Rd.  Clayton Fire Company had just cleared the station for the cover up assignment and responded.  Units arrived on scene to find a single story residence with fire in the crawl space after the residence had been struck by lightning after a recent severe thunderstorm passed through the area.  Crews placed one hose line in service and quickly extinguished the fire.  The scene was then placed under control and all units cleared the scene:  UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, Squad 45 (Cover-up), Engine 50-4 (Cover up Crew from Sta. 55 Magnolia), Engine/Tanker 50-2, Rescue 50, Ambulance A-50, Rescue 47, Squad 600, Tanker 606, Engine 78-4, Quint 78 Kent County EMS KM-8, Delaware Electric Cooperative and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Asst.
