Harrington Chaplain, Rev. Richard Walton receives Life Membership award for Clayton Fire Co.

Saturday, December 18, 2021, while at the annual awards banquet of the Clayton Fire Co., Rev. Richard Walton, an active firefighter for the Harrington Fire Co. was recognized with the achievement of Life Member of their company. Rev. Walton was a career firefighter with the City of Wilmington Fire Dept., retiring with 20 years of service, as well as volunteering within the fire service in Delaware. Upon retiring, Rev. Walton became an ordained minister and has served many years within multiple churches. Most recently, Rev. Walton served as the pastor of Ewell Saint Pauls United Methodist Church in Clayton for several years, before being assigned to Woodside United Methodist Church in 2021. When Rev. Walton is not providing service to his congregation, he can be found assisting around the station in any capacity he can, as well as helping on incidents responded to by the company. He is
currently serving as a Chaplain for the Harrington Fire Co. as well as multiple Kent County Associations. We would like to congratulate Rev. Walton on the accomplishment of Life Member of the Clayton Fire Co. We would also like to thank him for his continued dedicated service to our company and community. Thank you Rev.
