Harrington, Frederica, Houston and Felton Respond to Manure Shed Fire

On Friday March 25, 2022 at 7:52 am the Harrington, Felton, Houston and Frederica Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS were dispatched to a large non-dwelling fire in the 2000 Block of Paradise Alley Rd.  Units arrived on scene to find smoke showing from a 60 x 90 ft. manure shed.  Units placed a 400 ft. 1 ¾” handline in service and quickly extinguished the fire.  Crews then remained on scene for overhaul.  The scene was then placed under control and turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal Office for investigation.  All units then cleared the scene.  UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, Engine 50-4, Engine 50-1, Engine/Tanker 50-2, Ambulance C-50, Engine/Tanker 48-5, Engine 48-4, Engine 48-1, Ambulance B-48, Ladder 49, Engine 49, Traffic Control 49, Engine 52-5, KM-8, FM-12 and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Robbie Brode.
