Vehicle Accident on Vernon Rd. west of Cattail Branch Rd

On Wednesday September 29, 2022 at 1929 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were alerted for a vehicle accident on Vernon Rd. west of Cattail Branch Rd.  Units arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle accident with two subject suffering from minor injuries.  Both subjects were evaluated on scene and refused transport.  Aviation was cancelled prior to arrival.  Firefighter also checked the vehicles for any hazards.  The scene was placed under control and all units cleared the scene.  The scene was then turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Command 50, Ambulance B-50 and C-50, Engine 50-1, Rescue 50, KM-8, DSP, Harrington PD and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Deputy Fire Chief Kenny Brode.
