Outside Gas Leak - East Milby Street

On Tuesday November 2, 2022 at 10:08 am the Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies were dispatched to an outside gas leak in the 200 Block of East Milby St.  Units arrived on scene to find a natural gas line had been struck by construction workers and was actively leaking.  Crews secured a water supply at a near by hydrant and pulled a hand line.  Crews then stood by for Chesapeake Utilities to arrive.  Once Chesapeake Utilities arrived the leak was secured and the scene was placed under control.  All units then cleared the scene and returned to quarters.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Engine 50-4, Tower 50, Ambulance A-50, Rescue 47, Harrington PD, City of Harrington Public Works, Fire Police and Chesapeake Utilities.
