Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies respond to MVC with Entrapment

On Sunday December 4, 2022 the Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were alerted for and MVC with entrapment on Vernon Rd. in the area of Welch Rd.  Units arrived on scene to find a two vehicle accident with one subject trapped.  Units extricated the patient and the patient was transported to a local trauma center but helicopter.  Another patient was transported by ambulance and one subject refused treatment.  The scene was then placed under control and all units cleared the scene.  The incident is being investigated by the Delaware State Police.  UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, Engine 50-1, Rescue 50, Rescue 47, Engine 47-4, Ambulance 50, 48, 78, Harrington PD, DSP Patrol Units and DSP Aviation, Fire Police and Del-Dot.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Robbie Brode.
