Tractor Trailer Fire on South Dupont in Harrington

On Friday December 2, 2022 the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched to a tractor trailer on fire on South DuPont Hwy. in the area of Milford-Harrington Hwy.  Units arrived on scene to find the front tractor portion fully involved.  Firefighters placed one hand line in service and the fire was quickly brought under control.  The scene was then turned over to DNREC due to diesel fuel leaking from the truck.  All units then cleared the scene.  UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, Engine 50-4, Ambulance A-50, Fire Police, Harrington PD, Del-Dot and DNREC.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Deputy Chief Kenny Brode.
