MVC with Entrapment - Hammondtown Rd

On Monday November 6, 2023 at 6:18 am the Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment on Hammondtown Rd. between Gingerwood Rd. and Farmington Rd.  Units arrived on scene for find a two vehicle accident with one of the vehicles striking a tree heavily entrapping the driver.  Crews worked to free the driver which took approximately 33 minutes.  The injured subject was then transported to DSP Trooper 2 for transport to a local trauma center.  The scene was then placed under control and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Command 50, Ambulances A-50 and C-50, Rescue 50, Engine 50-5, Rescue 47, Engine 47-4, KM-8, DSP Patrol and Aviation and Del-Dot.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Robbie Brode.
