MVC with Entrapment and Fly Out in Harrington

On Thursday February 27, 2024 at 0620 hours the Harrington and Felton Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment in the 1000 Block of Pine Pitch Rd.  Units arrived on scene and found one vehicle on its side in the woods.  Units confirmed one Priority 1 patient trapped in the vehicle.  The occupant was extricated in approximately 10 minutes.  The injured subject was then transported by DSP Trooper 2 to a local trauma center for treatment.  The scene was then placed under control and units cleared the scene.  The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Command 50, Ambulances B-50 and C-50, Engines 50-5 and 50-1, Rescue 50, Brush 50, Squad 48, DSP Trooper 2, KM-8, DSP Patrol and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  1st Asst.
