Trailer Fire - Lewis Pond Lane

On Saturday January 6, 2024 at approximatly 1822 hrs. the Harrington, Farmington and Houston Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS were dispatched to a working trailer fire on Lewis Pond Lane off of Vernon Rd.  Units arrived on scene and found a fully involved single wide trailer.  Crews placed three hand lines in service and brought the fire under control in approximatly 45 minutes.  Crews also performed primary and secondary searches, secured utilities and overhauled.  All units then cleared the scene and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office for investigation.  There were no firefighter or civilian injuries reported.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Chief Car, Engine 50-4, Engine 50-1, Tanker 50, Tower 50, Utility 50-8, Ambulance B-50, Tanker 47, Engine 47-4, Engine 47-5, Tanker 52, Engine 52-2, Engine 52-5, Ambulance B-52, KM-8, FM-13, Delaware Electirc Co-op and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Kenny Brode.
