MVC - Vernon Rd

On Friday January 26, 2024 at 3:59 pm the Harrington Fire Company was alerted to a vehicle accident on Vernon Rd. west of Prospect Chruch Rd. Units arrived on scene to find a pick up truck left the roadway and struck a utility pole and then entered into a large tax ditch.  The three occupants of the vehicle had self extricated from the vehicle prior to arrival of the fire company.  All three subjects were evaluated on scene by EMS and refused treatment.  Delaware Electric Co-Op was contacted and they responded to fix the damaged pole.  The scene was placed under control and all units cleared the scene.  The scene was then turned over to Harrington PD.  UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, Rescue 50, Engine 50-5, Ambulances B-50 and C-50, Harrington PD, DEC and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Kenny Brode.
