MVC - S Dupont Hwy @ Delaware Ave

On Tuesday June 1, 2021 at 1500 hrs. the Harrington Fire Company, Felton Fire Company,  Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched for a vehicle accident with subjects trapped at the intersection of South DuPont Hwy. and Delaware Ave.   Units arrived on scene to find a two vehicle accident with one subject trapped in a vehicle.  The subject of the other vehicle refused medical transport.   Crews stabilized the vehicle and extricated the patient.  Due to no landing zones in the area of the accident DSP Trooper 2 landed in town in the area of the Harrington Fire Co.  The patient was loaded into an ambulance and transported to the awaiting helicopter.  The patient was then flown to Christiana Hospital for treatment.  The scene was placed under control and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.
