FULL TIME CAREER STAFF

NREMT / FIREFIGHTER

The Harrington Fire Company is accepting resumes for the position of full time NREMT- B/Firefighters. Employee will be responsible for staffing basic life support ambulances on a daily basis, providing emergency medical care & transportation.  Employees will also be utilized for fire suppression activities on a daily basis “as needed”.  Responsibilities will also include but not limited to custodial duties, administrative functions and logistical support as needed.  Applicants must be mature, self-motivated, responsible and able to work well with others with minimal supervision.  The starting pay for this position will be $20.00 hourly.  Shift will be 24/72. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age to drive apparatus
• Hold valid NREMT-B, Delaware EMT-B and CPR/AED certification
• Successful completion of Basic Firefighting Skills, Structural Firefighting Skills, HazMat Response Skills, and Vehicle Rescue  
• Driver/Operator, and Truck Company preferred.  (Delaware State Fire School or equivalent.) 
• Hold a valid Delaware Motor Vehicle Operators License and EVO
• Successfully complete an in company Lift/Skill Evaluation
• Must be a non-member of the Harrington Fire Company
