MVC in Harrington with Fly Out

On Monday August 5, 2024 at 1729 hours the Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS, Delaware State Police Aviation and Houston Fire Company EMS were dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Farmington Rd. and Hammondtown Rd.  Units arrived on scene and found a two vehicle accident with negative entrapment.  Three patients were evaluated with one suffering from serious injuries.  Two patients were transported by ambulance and one patient was airlifted by DSP Trooper 2 to a local trauma center.  Crews removed debris from the roadway and secured the vehicles for any hazards.  The scene was then placed under control and the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Chief Vehicle, Engines 50-5 and 50-1, Rescue 50, Rescue 47, Ambulances B-50 and B-52, KM-8, KM-5, DSP Trooper 2, Fire Police, DSP and Harrington PD.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Fire Chief Kenny Brode.
