Harrington Fire Company and Surrounding Companies Assist Felton with large Field Fire

On Monday October 14, 2024 at 1653 hrs, the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Felton Community Fire Company with a large field fire on Little Mastens Corner Rd. in the area of Reeves Crossing Rd.  Units arrived to find a large field fire involving several acres and being fueled by high winds.  Units operated for approximately two hours before the fire was placed under control.  Harrington Fire Company responded with Officer 50-16, Brush 50, Engines 50-1 and 50-5, Utility 50-8 with Gator 1 and Gator 2.  The Houston, Camden, Magnolia and Frederica Fire Companies also assisted.  Incident Commander was Fire Chief Chris Clough.  Farmington Fire Company provided an Engine Stand-by at the Harrington Fire Company during the incident.
