Reese Ave. House Fire in Harrington

On Monday December 16, 2024 at 0622 hours the Harrington, Farmington, Houston and Greenwood Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS were dispatched to a residential structure fire on Reese Ave. in Harrington.  Crews arrived on scene with a two-story single-family dwelling with an active fire in the attic.  Crews placed one handline in service and quickly extinguished the fire.  Crews then performed primary and secondary searches, overhaul and ventilation.  The scene was then placed under control and the scene as turned over to the Delaware State Fire Mashal Office for further investigation.  UNITS ON SCENE:  Engine 50-4 and 50-5, Tower 50, Ambulances A-50 and B-50, Rescue 47, Engines 52-2 and 52-5, Quint 78, Engine 78-4, KM-8, FM-15, FM-22 and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Deputy Chief Robbie Brode.
