Camper Fire in Harrington

On Monday July 13, 2026 at 0731 hours On Monday July 13, 2026 at 0731 hours the Harrington Fire Company was dispatched to a camper on fire on Fox Hunters Rd. in the area of Lobo Rd.  50 Command arrived on scene and reported a camper fully involved with exposure to other campers.  50-4 arrived first and place one 1 3/4" Hose Line in service.  The fire was quickly extinguished.  Additional crews arrived and assisted with water supply and overhaul. The scene was then placed under control and units performed overhaul.  Command requested that DNREC respond due to this fire possibly starting from a control burning from the previous night.  The scene was turned over to DNREC and all units cleared the scene.  UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, Engines 50-4 and 50-5, Tanker 50, Ambulance C-50, Utility 50-8, Fire Police and DNREC.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  2nd Asst.
